Willie was the third puppy in the litter, a strapping big boy with a high energy level and a good desire to please. Willie went home with pro field trainer Jody Ware, his wife Leigh, and their kids Nick, Emily and William. Willie This is the first Golden owned by the Wares who are primarily Labrador people -- but they have trained our Callie and Panda, Zoey and Py, as well as several other Goldens (both Fern Hill Goldens and others) -- and thought they would give one a try. Willie earned his Senior Hunter title in the summer of 2018, with Jody and his son Nick alternating handling, and he has started on his Master Hunter title and has his first pass. Willie was the second of Panda's offspring to help earn her the Outstanding Dam title.

Date: August 15, 2015. Jody put on a handling/training seminar for the East Tennessee Retriever Club, and brought along Willie. Jim snapped these pictures after the seminar was over, and Jody was working with Willie and son William, the most junior handler present! The other puppy on the left above is Willie's littermate Cooper, who is also owned by a club member. It was a happy reunion for the two puppies!
